FALL 2020 & FALL 2021
D2 has been hosting a spicy chili challenge competition for over 30 years. I have used these big events as an opportunity to learn more about intro animation in Adobe After Effects. Fortunately, both of these animations have also won awards!
CHILI CHALLENGE 2020
The video below is from Fall of 2020 when the Chili Challenge celebrated its 30th anniversary. We played it up big that year, despite COVID, and the animation won big too! My coworker helped add to the intro animation with sound effects, and we not only won a Gold ADDY in 2021, but we also won Best in Show!
CHILI CHALLENGE 2021
The following video intro is from the next year of Chili Challenge where I was able to do the sound effects on my own with a few tips from my coworker. I had a lot of fun with the branding from that year and the illustrations! We took home a Silver ADDY for the animation in 2022.
